FAQS

General Information

How is Krazy Glue different from ordinary glue?

Ordinary white glue works by filling tiny pores on surfaces and forming a latex bond. Krazy Glue is different—it’s made from cyanoacrylate, a fast-acting, colorless adhesive that’s incredibly strong and quick to trust. Once cured, it can hold over 1,000 pounds per square inch.
What makes it work? A little moisture! Water vapor on surfaces and in the air triggers the bond, which is why Krazy Glue sets in seconds. Keep the cap tightly closed and store it in a cool, dry place so it’s ready when inspiration strikes.

Using Krazy Glue

How can I make my Krazy Glue last longer?

Moisture in the air activates Krazy Glue, so once opened, it will begin to cure quickly. For best results, use it within one month of opening.
To extend its shelf life, always replace the cap right after use and store in a cool, dry place. You can refrigerate it, but let it warm to room temperature before using.
Cold temperatures can slow Krazy Glue’s performance, and condensation may cause it to harden prematurely inside the tube.
When stored in a refrigerator, keep it securely stored and out of reach of children.
Single-Use Packages (0.5g each) are a great option when you want a fresh, perfectly performing drop every time.

Product Selection Guide

Is there anything Krazy Glue can’t bond?

Krazy Glue works on most everyday materials like metal, wood, ceramic, and many plastics. However, it doesn’t bond well with paper, foam, rearview mirrors, polyethylene, polypropylene, Teflon®, or other fluorocarbons.

Troubleshooting

What’s the white residue around the bond?

That’s called blooming. It happens when excess glue reacts with moisture during curing.
To avoid it, use just a drop (about one per square inch), avoid overflow, and let it cure in a well-ventilated space.

Safety

What if my fingers get stuck together?

Don’t worry, it happens! Soak the bonded area in warm, soapy water. Gently peel or roll the skin apart slowly and gently.
If needed, use acetone or an acetone-based nail polish remover. You can also try our KRAZY® FIX SUPER GLUE REMOVER.
Take your time! Slow and steady is the golden rule and the safest. Always use acetone in a well-ventilated area.
If you’d like to help avoid this in the future, we also recommend our Craft Formula with Skin Guard™, designed to reduce skin bonding and make removal easier.
